The module ? Financial Management ? is designed to help you understand the language of finance and how the components of reimbursement and operating costs affect your unit function. It discusses the development of your unit budget, value-based purchasing, and the capital budget vs. operating budget. This module also covers managing FTEs within your budget and the development of a staffing plan. Calculations and tools are included to help you. Learning Objectives: ? Develop a method for staffing to meet patient needs within the operational budget ? Collaborate with finance to understand the components of your unit budget ?
